My journey has been defined by determination and resilience, overcoming challenges and finding strength in moments of doubt. The path was not without obstacles—months of hard work, moments of discouragement, and an unwavering hope that pushed me forward. Eventually, my efforts paid off, and I found myself at the University of St Andrews. The STEPS program has been more than just a scholarship; it has provided essential financial assistance, guidance, and a supportive community that have been crucial during my studies and in navigating life afterward.
One of the most profound moments was reuniting with my daughter here in a place of safety and learning. Now, she is away from the horrors and devastation of the ongoing genocide in Gaza—a poignant reminder of why education and opportunity matter so deeply. This chance for safety and growth, made possible through STEPS, is a source of hope and strength. Another milestone in my journey was securing the role of Postgraduate Administrator at the University of St Andrews. This achievement reflects the resilience and growth fostered through the support of the STEPS program, which has guided me toward meaningful accomplishments and empowered me to give back to this supportive community
