Small or large, your contribution makes it possible for two Palestinian refugees to earn a Masters degree in their chosen subjects in St Andrews University.
All donations go directly and fully toward their return travel, accommodation and daily living expenses.
STEPS scholars are chosen for their academic abilities to succeed in intensive courses of study of their choosing. All fields of study are open to applicants. We have supported scholars studying Photonics and Optoelectronics, International Business, Peace and Conflict Studies, Social Anthropology, and Sustainable Development.

I was very pleased to learn about the decision of the university to waive tuition fees annually for two Palestinian students, and about the contribution of the STEPS charity to this project, among its other impressive activities. Educational opportunities are of course very limited in the Israeli occupied territories, particularly in Gaza, where the repression is severe. Young Palestinians have made courageous and dedicated efforts to overcome these obstacles, with quite remarkable success. Nevertheless, there is only so much that they can achieve under these harsh circumstances. I hope that others…will join in supporting this very worthy endeavor.
